Every frame is built on details: proportions, volumes, assembly, finishes, and comfort. Frédéric Beausoleil crafts materials and shapes with the same rigorous standard: finding the perfect balance between character, elegance, and wearability.
The creator
Frédéric Beausoleil
Frédéric Beausoleil has been designing eyewear for nearly forty years. Born in Rennes and raised in Nantes in a family already deeply connected to the optical industry, he developed a sensitivity for shapes, materials, and sculpture from a very early age.
His mother, one of the first female opticians in France, passed on to him a unique vision of the profession: that of an optician who does not merely correct vision, but chooses frames capable of revealing a personality.
"A frame should not hide a face, it should reveal it"
A craft learned in the workshop, through direct contact with the material.
Trained in Morez and then in Paris, Frédéric Beausoleil found far more than just technical training in Monsieur Aptel’s workshop.
There, he discovered the deliberate nature of fine craftsmanship, the precision of handiwork, and the quiet rigor that accompanies the decorative arts.
Very early on, he understood that a frame is more than just a shape.
It is a subtle balance between the material, the face, and the personality of the person wearing it.
